"The servants who are ready and waiting for His return will be rewarded. I tell you the truth, He Himself will seat them, put on an apron, and serve them as they sit and eat!" (Lu12:37) ...For He called you to share in His Kingdom and glory. (1The2:12) "There is more than enough room in My Father's home....I am going to prepare a place for you. ...you will always be with Me where I am." (Jo14:2,3)
When considering what our lives will be like in beyond this life, a verse that is often quoted is:... No eye has seen, no ear has heard and no mind has imagined what God has prepared or those who love Him. But the scriptures continue with: But it was to us that God revealed these things by His Spirit... so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us. (1Co2:9,10,12)
We know that we have a future so wonderful that Satan is dedicated to robbing and destroying as many people as he can. Some of what is waiting for us is recorded in Revelation, in the message Jesus gave to John to share with the churches. Jesus said: To everyone who is victorious I will give:
1. Fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God. (Re2:7 Re22:14)
2. The crown of life. (Re2:10)
3. Manna that has been hidden away in heaven.
4.. A white stone, and on the stone will be engraved a new name that no one understands except the one who receives it. (Re2:17)
5.. Authority over all the nations... They will have the same authority I received from My Father. (Re2:26,28)
6. The morning star! (Re2:28)
7. They will walk with Me in white.(Re3:4)
8. I will announce before My Father and His angels that they are Mine. (Re3:5)
9. They will become pillars in the Temple of My God, and they will never have to leave it.
10. I will write on them the name of My God,
11. They will be citizens of the city of My God...
12. I will write on them My new Name. (Re3:12)
13. They will sit with Me on My throne, just as I was victorious and sat with My father on His throne. (Re3:21)
And also in Revelation, it says: "And You have caused them to become a Kingdom of priests for Our God. And they will reign on earth." (Re5:10)
Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord...(2Pe1:11) ..will bring you with great joy into His glorious presence without a single fault. (Jude24) Jesus told us in Luke 12:37 that He will seat us and serve us. We will be God's guests of honour because we are the few that find eternal life, the few that are chosen.(Ma7:14, 22:14)"...'Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.' "(Ma25:34)...we will share in all that belongs to Christ. (He3:14) In fact, together with Christ, we are heirs of God's glory. (Ro8:17)
And we have a priceless inheritance - an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you ...(1Pe1:4) We will have the treasure that we have stored in heaven "Go and sell all your possessions... and you will have treasure in heaven...(Mk10:21) We will shine: "Then the righteous will shine like the sun in their father's Kingdom."(Ma13:43) We will receive wages and joy, great joy: The harvesters are paid good wages and the fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the planter and the harvester alike! (Jo4:36)
In eternity we won't be married: "But in the age to come, those worthy of being raised from the dead will neither marry nor by given in marriage...In this respect they will be like angels...(Lu20:35,36, Ro7:2) We will be rewarded for what we have done on earth...'You have been faithful with the little I entrusted to you, so you will be governor of ten cities as your reward.' (Lu19:17) But on judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done....If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. (1Co3:13,14) We will have responsibilities: Don't you realise that someday we believers will judge the world? ...realise we will judge angels? (1Co6:2,3)
If we believed even the little that has been revealed in God's Word about life beyond this earth, we would indeed have as little desire this world as a dead person does (Co3:3 the Living Bible) and we would die daily, so that God's will might be done in us and more souls might be born into the Kingdom. What a future, what a hope we have, all because of Jesus!
Praise the Name of Jesus!
