Confident in the Will of God

IN BRIEF...

So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. (Ro14:10)

For many years I have justified what I do with my time and the fact that I don't earn a lot of money. There has never been any doubt in my mind that I am doing exactly what God wants me to do with my time. Then I read what Jesus said to Peter, ..."Get away from Me, Satan! You are a dangerous trap to Me. You are seeing things from a human point of view, not from God's. (Ma16:23) The most important thing in my life is the Lord Jesus and to obey Him. I do not have to apologise to anyone if they do not agree with how I spend my time. Those who do not like how I spend my time can take it up with my boss!

A medical specialist that I visit is a lecturer in New Zealand and Australia in his area of expertise. The work that he does actually saves many people's lives. Yet this man spends a least one day a week teaching reading to primary school children. Many people would say that this is a waste of his training and skills, yet it is important to him to do this and he has the respect of the community for the work that he does.

I must be honest and say that in the past I have criticised people for how they have spent their time and their money and this was wrong. It is not for me to judge and they certainly won't have to justify themselves to me. How people spend their time and money is their business and their God's. Everyone who is walking with God knows whether or not they are in the will of God, doing what He has asked them to do. It is not for anyone else to pass judgment....We ask God to give you complete knowledge of His will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. (Col1:9,10)

Never believe that you have to justify what God has asked you to do or not do. When Jesus is the Lord of your life He calls the shots and never let anyone turn you aside for His will for your life. But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out His special favor on me - and not without results....(1Co15:10)

Praise the Name of Jesus!
